Continue reading on MobilesyrupIf you’re in Toronto and take a trip to the lower level of Brookfield Place (corner of Front and Bay Street) you’ll see what new online retailer Well.ca has dreamed up. “Canada’s first‐ever virtual store” was created and they’ve basically outfitted the walls with images of products such as Tide, Pampers, Old Spice and placed QR (Quick Response) codes under each item. The hope is that those passing will potentially scan an item and have it delivered to them. The latest comScore report showed that Canadians are not really fond of QR codes, stating that “In December 2011, more than 1.4 million Canadian smartphone subscribers scanned QR Codes with their mobile device at least once in the month.”
Qryptal has a florist doing the same and it worked well especially during the busy Valentine's Day period. Made it easier for customers who came by the store to browse and order on the go. Read more.
